Open Studio - This Saturday

fourth & clay is officially open the first Saturday of every month from 11 - 5.
rae and I have spiffed up our shelves, swept the floor, done the dishes (pictured above - some of rae's great plates) and might even put clean aprons on.

We're ready for visitors this Saturday, March 1.

Stormy Sunday

The rain is hitting the window and the wind is roaring outside. I am warm and cozy typing away, drinking my morning tea from one of the new cups that just emerged from the kiln and catching up on my blog reading. My current favorite is by Bibi Forsman . Her vision of what she see's and how it filters it's way into her work is truly inspirational. Her links are great too (loved one on japanese packaging).Diana's blog never ceases to amaze me. Her current piece that shows us her process is just great. My studio mate rae's blog always makes me smile. I especially like her photos of food - this current one cracks me up. I am a huge admirer of her work and now that I get to be around it everyday I love it even more. Kitty's favorite read is this one by her new BBF (that's best bowser friend) Wilma. Forget-Me-Not

I've been fooling around with decals on these new stamped pieces. The decals are hard to see in these very unprofessional photos but they are blue forget-me-not sprigs and single buds...tiny and sprinkled near the glaze dots and dashes. It's kind of like looking for Waldo. What better thing to do while you're eating your Cherrios?

Happy Valentines Day everybody! Today I celebrate my love of so many things and people...I kiss my husband, my kids, grand children and Kitty the dog and I am madly in love with potting - sometimes it drives me crazy but mostly it's crazy fun...
