Ready for 2010

Time to dust off your fancy dress and P A R T Y...

Me? I'll probably be happily tucked into bed by 10:30, dreaming of the new pots I will be making this year.

Gumby Inspired

While you are wrapping your presents and finishing up your last minute decor you can watch this really cool little piece made by the creator of Gumby - Art Clokey. I found it most inspiring:

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like....

....I'm going to make it!

Christmas approaches next week. The tree is up, my presents are made - well almost, tonight is Cookie Making Saturday Eve for my daughter Susannah's cookie party tomorrow. This is fourth & clay's last weekend to be open during the Holiday open studios. If you haven't been by yet and are in the area please come by for a visit. Next week my daughter Molly and her soon to be husband Rafael arrive from Brooklyn. The very best thing for me this time of year are the cozy, busy days before Christmas shared with good friends and family.

I'm wishing you all Good Yule.

Party time at fourth & clay

I had a great time last night at the first ever CAB+ (ceramic arts of Berkeley) event. People came, I sold some work but the best part for me was getting to work with the incredible John Toki, Derik Van Beers and the EB ceramic artists and friends who dreamt, planned and made it happen. What a wonderful group of clay folks we have here in the Bay Area - they not only make fabulous work, they know how to party. Special thanks to my studio-mates who provided the "hootch in the cave"....scotch goes down so smooth when you're freezing and standing for 5 hours straight.

Now it's time to get ready for the next party...this time at fourth & clay. See what happened last year here. Come party and celebrate the season with Christa, rae and me this year.
